All McDonald's restaurants in Egypt are fully owned by Manfoods-McDonald's Egypt, which was established in 1994 by Egyptian businessman Yassin Mansour. He is the licensee and developer of the McDonald's brand in Egypt.
Manfoods-McDonald's Egypt has been managed and operated by a 100% Egyptian staff since the opening of the first two McDonald's branches in the Merghany and Mohandessin areas nearly thirty years ago. The company has continued to expand, with the number of its branches now exceeding 190 in various governorates across Egypt.
Manfoods-McDonald's Egypt also provides over 40,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities to Egyptian citizens through its branches and its network of partners across the country.

2001 – Contribution to the construction of the 57357 Children's Cancer Hospital.
2009 – Development project for Ezbet Khairallah, where about 13 million Egyptian pounds were donated for the renovation of 27 nurseries and the expansion of 10 schools. Additionally, training workshops and job opportunities were provided for the local community, and awareness classes were held to teach 9,000 mothers in the area about safe and healthy parenting methods.
2011 – Launch of the Blended Learning protocol in collaboration with Helwan University. Since its launch, 1,000 students have participated in the program over 10 batches. The 11th batch is currently being processed, with 100-120 students expected to join to earn a Bachelor's degree in Restaurant Management from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.
2020 – Development of private nurseries in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Solidarity. Manfoods-McDonald's Egypt developed and provided equipment and technical support for 165 classrooms in charitable association nurseries, with investments amounting to 15 million pounds. This initiative benefited around 2,400 families in Cairo and trained 365 facilitators.
2021 – Collaboration with the Egyptian Autistic Society to provide training and job opportunities for individuals with autism within McDonald's branches. This initiative aims to enhance their roles and empower them to participate effectively in society. The program has celebrated its sixth cycle and continues its success and expansion, offering more training and job opportunities. Over 200 trainees have benefited so far. This highlights our commitment to creating a lasting impact that promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
2022 – Launch of Ronald McDonald’s House of Charities – Egypt in collaboration with the Kheir wa Baraka NGO. The initiative creates and supports programs that directly improve the health and lives of children and their families. One of the most important projects under Ronald McDonald’s House of Charities – Egypt is the establishment of eight Early Childhood Centers of Excellence in Cairo, Aswan, and Sohag. These centers provide educational and inclusive services for children from birth to six years old and serve over 3,000 citizens through educational, health, and social programs for children and their families.
2025 – Collaboration with the Misr El Kheir Foundation in the "Iftar Saem" Ramadan campaign, aimed at providing aid to over 75,000 beneficiaries. This includes:
